Whether the goals are to win competitions, gain acceptance into a college music program, or pass an audition, we can help make that a reality.  Our highly structured, yet fun curriculum is designed to teach our students how to develop the agility, technique, and sensitivity required to play the clarinet at the advanced level.  Below is an outline of what may be explored in the clarinet lessons.  The needs of our students will dictate what is actually taught in the lessons.

The study of standard clarinet repertoire is very important to the development of the clarinetist.  There is a lot of great music composed specifically for the clarinet.  We will explore and learn to interpret the clarinet repertoire composed by the following:

  • Mozart
  • Stravinsky
  • Weber
  • Brahms
  • Poulenc
  • Saint-Saens
  • Orchestral excerpts and more!

Clarinet lessons for the advanced student

Our clarinet students will be taught how to practice the right way!  We will set musical goals and learn to independently reach them.   Our advanced clarinet lessons teach our students to:

  • Set priorities for practice sessions
  • prepare for auditions
  • prepare for performances
  • have fun playing the clarinet!
